Gloves by the score of 5 to 2.
Carlos Rodon(10-3) had a solid outing for Caracas. He went 7 innings allowing
7 hits and 2 walks. Rodon struckout 9 Gotham batters. Caracas had 9 hits
for the night.
Penn Murfee preserved the game for Rodon, recording his his 4th save. Patrick
Sandoval(6-6) was charged with the loss. He allowed 4 runs and 6 hits in 5
and 1/3 innings.
Caracas continued their winnings ways improving their record to a division
leading 73-44. They are 8-2 in their last ten games. Mike Wilson was pretty
down after the loss. 'We've really been sputtering along lately, something
like 2-8 in the last week or two. That won't get it done.'
