Shortstop Carlos Correa launched 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI as the Dublin
Pubcrawlers topped the Palatine Cubs by a score of 3 to 1 at Kauffman
Stadium.
Dublin had the winning rally in the top of the 9th inning with 2 runs on 3
hits. After two outs Albert Pujols got things going when he slapped a
one-base hit. Correa followed and he popped a two-run clout over the fence.
Palatine went down without a fight in the bottom of the 9th.
Wandy Peralta(4-2) was the winner allowing no runs in 1 and 1/3 innings. The
losing pitcher was Carl Edwards Jr(4-7) in relief. He gave up 2 hits and 1
walk in 1 and 2/3 innings.
