Paul Goldschmidt hit 2 doubles as the Gotham Gold Gloves bested the Tampico
Stogies in 11 innings 5 to 4 at Edsel Stadium.
The score was tied at 4 after nine. Gotham won the hard fought contest in the
11th inning. Goldschmidt doubled making Gotham the winners and sending the
625 fans home happy. Gotham managed 8 hits in their victory.
Chris Martin(2-4) was the winner allowing no runs in 1/3 of an inning. The
loss was charged to Amir Garrett(3-3) in relief. It was a tough loss for him
as he did not allow an earned run in his 2 and 2/3 innings of work.
