Anthony Rizzo hit 3 doubles as the Palatine Cubs defeated the Dublin
Pubcrawlers by a score of 4 to 2 at Kauffman Stadium.
Palatine brought 2 runs across the plate in the bottom of the 2nd inning when
they had 3 base hits. Chas McCormick led off and keyed the rally when he
doubled. Rizzo stepped up to the plate and he doubled resulting in a run.
After an out was recorded, Isiah Kiner-Falefa then slapped a single scoring
the final run of the inning. Dublin had a chance in the 9th but they came up
short.
The win was credited to Dane Dunning(4-7) who went 7 innings allowing 1 run.
Paul Sewald was credited with his 25th save. Jose Quintana(6-5) was the
losing pitcher.
