The Dyersville Jurassics nipped the Chicago Whales in 10 innings 5 to 4 at
Jurassic Park in a hard fought contest.
The game was deadlocked at 3 after nine full innings. Dyersville won it in
the 10th inning. Marsh proceeded to steal third base. Willy Adames stepped
into the batter's box and he drew a walk. Dyersville continued their
aggressive style with another stolen base. One out later, Brandon Drury
stepped up to the plate and he hit a sacrifice fly which plated a run.
Michael Harris came up to bat and was walked intentionally. Teoscar
Hernandez kept things alive and drew a walk to load the bases. Jorge Lopez
then threw a wild pitch resulting in an exciting win for Dyersville and a
raucous post-game celebration by the home town fans. Dyersville won despite
being out-hit by Chicago 10 hits to 7.
Ryan Pressly(3-2) picked up the victory, allowing 1 run in 1 inning. The
losing pitcher was Lopez(3-6) in relief. He gave up 3 runs and 3 hits in 1
and 2/3 innings.
