In a two run game the Tampico Stogies got by the Gotham Gold Gloves by the
score of 5 to 3.
The game started off with Tampico taking the lead in the first scoring 2
runners on 2 hits. The key offensive moment was provided by Kyle Farmer who
disappointed the partisan crowd when he lifted one out of the park for a two
run home run. The Gotham offense proved no trouble in the bottom of the 9th.
The victory went to Braxton Garrett(2-6) who went 5 and 1/3 innings, allowing
3 runs. Felix Bautista earned his 25th save. Drew Smyly(2-6) was charged
with the loss. He got hammered, allowing 7 hits and 3 walks in 4 and 1/3
innings.
The Tampico ballclub's record now stands at 54-54. With this loss, Gotham has
a 5-5 record of late, 47-61 overall.
