Left fielder Adam Engel went yard and had 2 RBI at RingCentral Coliseum as the
Hollywood Marines beat the Oakland Athletics 10 to 4.
Oakland was unable to claim the lead after Hollywood went ahead in the top of
the 6th inning plating 3 runs utilizing 3 base hits. Austin Riley led off
and started the rally when he slapped a single. Corey Dickerson was next and
he doubled. After an out was recorded, Engel then drew a walk to load the
bases. Dansby Swanson followed next and he hit a deep fly knocking in a run.
Engel took off for second and slid in with a stolen base. Bryson Stott
added to the uprising and doubled driving home another two teammates.
Hollywood rapped out 12 hits for the night.
Dean Kremer(7-5) went 5 and 2/3 innings allowing 4 runs for the victory. Dylan
Coleman(3-4) was given the loss in relief. He surrendered 2 hits and 1 walk
in 2/3 of an inning.
Brian Anderson was just happy to get a win, 'We've had such a bad streak of
games -- boy, it's great to get the monkey off our back. Now maybe we can
relax a little and play the kind of baseball of which we are capable.'
