Nestor Cortes came through with a solid 7 innings as the Dublin Pubcrawlers
defeated the lifeless Dallas Gibsons in 10 innings 3 to 2 at Truist
Park.
The game was deadlocked at 2 after nine full innings. Dublin came out the
victor in the 10th inning. Brandon Nimmo laced a base-hit. After an out was
recorded, Michael Brantley came to bat and drew a walk to load the bases.
Byron Buxton dug into the batters box next, but he struck out. Jose Ramirez
was up next and he drew a walk scoring the run. The game was a scoreless
duel until the 6th inning.
The win was credited to Michael King(5-0) who went 1 inning allowing no runs.
David Robertson was credited with his 4th save. Sam Hentges(2-3) suffered
the loss in relief. It was a tough loss for him as he did not allow an
earned run in his 1 and 2/3 innings of work.
