Giancarlo Stanton knocked 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI as the Holland Heffalumps
topped the Tampico Stogies in 11 innings by a score of 4 to 3 at The
Heffadrome.
Both teams had scored 2 runs after nine full innings. Holland ended up
winning it in the 11th inning. After an out was recorded, Stanton began the
Holland spurt when he blasted a two-run home run giving Holland the win and
sending the home town fans into a frenzy. Holland totaled 8 hits on the
night.
The victory was credited to Hoby Milner(2-0) who went 1 inning, allowing no
runs. Brad Keller(3-2) absorbed the loss in relief.
