The Dyersville Jurassics defeated the Tombstone Huckleberries by a score of 7
to 4 at Jurassic Park.
Ross Stripling(7-4) pitched okay, well enough for the win. He went 5 and 1/3
innings surrendering 7 hits and 2 walks. Stripling whiffed an impressive
total of 6 Tombstone batters and was touched for 2 homeruns. Dyersville
banged out 10 hits on the night.
Ryan Pressly recorded the save, his 8th. Joe Ryan(3-7) ended up with the loss.
He was knocked around pretty good, giving up 5 runs in 4 and 2/3 innings.
The Dyersville ballclub's record now stands at a division leading 52-41. Doug
Salzwedel was pretty down after the loss. 'We've really been sputtering
along lately, something like 1-9 in the last week or two. That won't get it
done.'
