At Comerica Park, the Hollywood faithful were treated to an intriguing
pitcher's duel. Frankie Montas(7-3) finally bested his Burbank counterpart,
Tyler Wells(5-4), by the score of 2 to 0.
Montas gave Hollywood a solid outing. He was reached for 3 hits and 4 walks
in 5 and 2/3 innings reducing his ERA from 4.75 to 4.49. The pitchers took
over after the 4th inning as neither team was able to score again.
Montas got help from Cionel Perez who was credited with his 1st save. The
loss was charged to Wells. He surrendered 6 hits and 4 walks in 6 innings.
