Ross Stripling pitched 6 strong innings as the Dyersville Jurassics defeated
the Gotham Gold Gloves by the score of 6 to 2 at Edsel Stadium.
Dyersville scored 3 runs in the decisive top of the 2nd inning when they came
up with 3 base hits. After an out was recorded, Brandon Drury opened up the
scoring as he blasted a solo shot. Rodolfo Castro followed next and he
smashed a bases-empty 'big-fly'. After another out, Josh Donaldson then
lofted a solo-blast 'downtown'. That was all the runs Stripling(4-2) needed.
Gotham was out-hit by Dyersville, 10 hits to 5.
Adam Cimber earned the save, his 1st. The losing pitcher was Cole Irvin(2-5).
He surrended 3 homeruns in his 7 and 1/3 innings.
