Taijuan Walker came through with a solid 7 innings as the Burbank Tigers won
in dramatic fashion over the Dallas Gibsons by a score of 3 to 2 at Burbank
Park.
Burbank came through with the game-winning runs in the 9th inning plating 2
runs utilizing 4 base hits. A.J. Pollock kicked off the action when he
doubled. After an out was recorded, Tyrone Taylor came up and he lined a
one-base hit bringing in a run. D.J. Lemahieu then slapped a base-hit, and
an error was also committed. Ben Gamel stepped in and he singled resulting
in a mighty exciting win for Burbank and the 19,453 home town fans in
attendance. Burbank out-hit Dallas for the game, 10 hits to 4.
Reynaldo Lopez(5-4) was the winner allowing no runs in 2 innings. Keegan
Akin(0-3) absorbed the loss in relief. 'We just wouldn't give up,' Max Muncy
said. 'Much of the credit goes to our fans - they were with us the whole
way.'
