One run was the difference at Poets Field as the Dublin Pubcrawlers defeated
the Palatine Cubs 2 to 1.
Dublin scored the winning runs in the bottom of the 8th inning plating 2 runs
using 2 hits. After an out was recorded, Brandon Nimmo opened up the rally
as he laced a single. Carl Edwards Jr then let one slip out of his hand for
a wild pitch. Jorge Polanco then clubbed a two-run home run. Seranthony
Dominguez was perfect in the ninth giving him his 10th save on the season.
Kyle Nelson(1-0) was the winner allowing no runs in 1 inning. The loss was
charged to Edwards Jr(2-3) in relief. He surrendered 2 runs and 2 hits in
1/3 of an inning.
