At Busch Stadium the Tampico Stogies outdistanced the Streator Reds by a final
score of 5 to 1.
Tampico took the lead for keeps in the bottom of the 3rd inning when they
tallied 2 runs on 3 hits. That early run support was enough for Johan
Oviedo(1-0) and Tampico. Tampico ended up with 11 hits for the game while
Streator had 8.
Oviedo got help from Brad Keller who earned his 2nd save. Patrick Corbin(3-7)
absorbed the loss. He pitched 5 and 2/3 innings and surrendered 9 hits and 1
walk.
