In a thriller the Caracas Leones staged a dramatic comeback over the Dublin
Pubcrawlers winning by a score of 6 to 5 at Leones Field.
Caracas had the winning rally in the bottom of the 9th inning plating 2 runs
using 2 hits. Jose Altuve kicked off the action when he doubled. Brandon
Belt stepped into the batter's box and he blasted a two-run home run making
Caracas the victors to the delight of the home town faithful. Caracas banged
out 10 hits on the night.
Mitch White(4-2) got credit for the victory, pitching 2 and 1/3 innings and
allowing no runs. Seranthony Dominguez(0-2) was the loser in relief.
Alan Dyche was in great spirits in his post-game interview. Yet, when asked
about his feelings after the thrilling comeback victory, he volunteered,
'I'll tell you this much - I know how my counterpart, Adam Smith, feels right
now - and it's not very good. It's terrible when you come up on the short
end of one of these!'
