Nolan Arenado had 4 hits and 2 RBI at The Horseshoe as the Holland Heffalumps
beat the Columbus Crowd 9 to 6.
Holland came up with the deciding runs in the 8th inning plating 3 runs using
4 hits. Francisco Lindor led off the inning for Holland when he stroked a
one-base hit. Martin Maldonado stepped up to the plate and he laced a
base-hit. Thairo Estrada then banged out a single scoring a one-base hit
run. Estrada then stole second base. Arenado stepped into the box and
ripped a base-knock driving home another two teammates. Overall Holland
out-hit Columbus 15 to 11.
Joely Rodriguez(1-0) was the winner allowing 1 run in 1 and 1/3 innings. Erik
Swanson earned his 1st save. Sean Manaea(2-5) took the loss in relief. He
was not very effective, surrendering 3 runs in 2 and 1/3 innings.
The Holland ballclub's record now stands at 25-19. With the loss, Columbus
