It was a great finish at Poets Field as the Dublin Pubcrawlers pulled off a
dramatic comeback beating the Gotham Gold Gloves by the count of 6 to
5.
Dublin had the winning rally in the bottom of the 9th inning with 2 runs using
2 hits. Brandon Nimmo led off and he doubled. Austin Barnes struck out,
unable to help the rally. Jose Ramirez got his turn next, but he was a
strikeout victim. Jorge Polanco stepped in and he popped a two-run clout
over the fence giving Dublin the victory and sending the 43,620 home-town
fans home happy. Dublin rapped out 8 hits for the night.
The win went to Wandy Peralta(2-0) who allowed no runs in 1 inning. The loss
was charged to Chris Martin(0-2) in relief. 'That was exciting!,' Harold
Ramirez said. 'I would have paid money to watch this one.'
