In a close game the Burbank Tigers got by the Columbus Crowd by the score of 3
to 1.
Columbus surrendered all of the runs Burbank needed in the 7th inning scoring
3 runs using 4 hits. Ryan Mountcastle started the inning off right when he
doubled. Owen Miller followed next and he popped a two-run clout over the
fence. After an out was recorded, Austin Meadows then doubled. Lourdes
Gurriel stepped in and he doubled scoring the final run of the inning.
Columbus proved to be no trouble in the bottom of the 9th.
Zack Wheeler(4-1) got credit for the victory, pitching 7 innings and allowing
1 run. Wheeler got help from Aaron Loup who earned his 4th save. The losing
pitcher was Sean Manaea(2-4) in relief.
