The Holland Heffalumps had very little trouble at West Side Park downing the
Chicago Whales. The score was 8 to 2.
Holland started with a bang, jumping out to an early lead in their half of the
first when they scored 2 runs on 1 hit. The crucial at-bat was provided by
Giancarlo Stanton who quieted the home crowd when he blasted a two-run home
run. Holland had just 6 hits for the night.
The winning pitcher was Ranger Suarez(3-2) who allowed 2 runs in 5 innings.
Suarez got relief help from Nabil Crismatt who gained credit for his 1st
save. Aaron Civale(1-1) was hit with the loss. He served up 3 homeruns in
his 5 innings.
