In a game for the baseball purist, Michael Kopech(4-1) and Graham
Ashcraft(1-5) squared off in a tense pitching duel, Aarlington Aardvarks
finally emerged victorious over floundering Dallas Gibsons, 2 to 0.
Kopech delivered a fine performance for Aarlington. He surrendered 4 hits and
1 walk in 6 innings lowering his ERA to 2.92. Neither team managed to score
after the 2nd inning.
Kopech got help from Tanner Banks who earned his 1st save. The Aarlington
ballclub's record now stands at 10-19. Still in a bad slump, with this loss,
Dallas is 2-8 lately and 9-20, worst in the division on the year.
