David Phelps went 3 strong innings as the Aarlington Aardvarks topped the
Jamaica Smoke by a score of 5 to 2 at Aarlington Field.
Aarlington scored 4 runs in the decisive bottom of the 6th inning when they
came up with 5 base hits. The biggest moment was provided by Patrick Wisdom
who made the home-town crowd a happy bunch when he launched a three-run
homer. Phelps was perfect in the ninth giving him his 3rd save on the
season.
The victory went to Noah Syndergaard(1-0) who went 6 innings, allowing 2 runs.
Lance Lynn(1-1) ended up with the loss. He gave up 4 runs and 6 hits in 5
and 1/3 innings.
