Shortstop Corey Seager had 3 base hits as the Jamaica Smoke defeated the
Aarlington Aardvarks by a score of 4 to 0 at Aarlington Field.
Jamaica drew first blood jumping out to an early lead in the first inning with
2 runs using 4 hits. Luis Arraez led off and started the rally when he lined
a single. Bo Bichette stepped up next and he ripped a one-base hit. Manny
Machado got his turn next, but he was a strikeout victim. Seager was up next
and he stroked a single resulting in a run. Vladimir Guerrero Jr stepped
into the box and would hit into a force play scoring the final run of the
inning. That was all Kyle Gibson(2-2) needed. Jamaica finished with 11 hits
in the victory.
Shohei Ohtani(0-5) was the loser. He struck out 11 batters in 6 innings
despite losing the game.
