final score was 6 to 4.
Rich Hill(3-0) had a fairly solid outing. He went 5 and 1/3 innings
surrendering 8 hits and 4 walks. Vernon tried unsuccessfully to come back in
the 9th.
The losing pitcher was Freddy Peralta(0-1). John Stryker was subdued after
the ballgame, 'That one really hurts. If our guys had simply played more
fundamentally sound, we could have won that one. That is what really ticks
me off!'
