Rafael Devers smashed 2 homeruns and had 6 RBI at Englefield Green as the
Woodfield Roadkyll beat the Chicago Whales 9 to 2.
Devers enjoyed a great evening at the plate. Every time he came up in the
latter innings, the crowd was on their feet cheering. He rifled a three-run
blast in the 1st inning, cracked a two-run shot in the 2nd inning and ripped
a base-hit scoring a run in the 3rd inning. Overall Woodfield out-hit
Chicago 12 to 9.
Bailey Ober(3-0) went 5 innings allowing 2 runs for the victory. Chris
Flexen(2-2) took the loss. 'Some days it just all comes together, and this
was one of them' Devers said. 'I've been seeing the ball pretty well
lately.'
