Max Muncy smashed 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI and Zack Wheeler had a strong
outing as the Burbank Tigers bested the Gotham Gold Gloves 8 to 1 at Edsel
Stadium.
Muncy was a thorn in the side of the hometown fans as he enjoyed a fine day at
their team's expense. He clubbed a two-run home run in the 4th inning and
delivered a solo blast in the 9th inning. Burbank out-hit Gotham for the
game, 12 hits to 2.
The victory was credited to Wheeler(1-1) who went 7 innings, allowing 1 run.
Aaron Loup got the save, his 2nd. Patrick Sandoval(0-2) was the losing
pitcher. Despite losing, he struckout 9 Burbank batters in 6 and 1/3
innings.
