Luis Garcia mowed down 12 Caracas batters as the Tombstone Huckleberries beat
the Caracas Leones in 11 innings by a score of 2 to 1.
Both teams were tied at 1 runs apiece after nine innings. Finally, Tombstone
prevailed in the 11th inning. Cedric Mullins laid down a sacrifice bunt.
Santiago Espinal stepped up next and he laced a base-hit making Tombstone
victorious to the delight of the the home town crowd. Tombstone had just 4
hits for the night.
Alexis Diaz(1-0) allowed no runs in 1 inning, and picked up the victory. The
losing pitcher was Liam Hendriks(1-2) in relief. He was pinned with the loss
despite not allowing an earned run in his 1 and 1/3 innings of work.
