In a dramatic ending the Tombstone Huckleberries staged a comeback and held on
to win over the reeling Aarlington Aardvarks by the count of 8 to
7.
Tombstone won the game with a rally in the top of the 9th inning plating 2
runs on 3 base hits. After an out was recorded, J.D. Martinez was the
sparkplug when he smashed a bases-empty 'big-fly'. Joey Wendle followed next
and he doubled. Cedric Mullins then doubled scoring the final run of the
inning. Tombstone won despite being out-hit by Aarlington 13 hits to 9.
Ryan Tepera(1-1) went 1 inning allowing 1 run for the win. Tepera got help
from Alexis Diaz who earned his 1st save. Brock Burke(0-1) was the losing
pitcher in relief.
