In a game for the baseball purist, James Kaprielian(1-0) and Max Fried(0-1)
squared off in a tense pitching duel, Gotham Gold Gloves finally emerged
victorious over Jamaica Smoke, 3 to 1.
Jamaica never recovered after Gotham took the lead in the 3rd inning scoring a
single run on 3 hits. After an out was recorded, Jack Suwinski cracked a
solo homerun. That early run support was all that Kaprielian required.
Gotham banged out 9 hits on the night.
Giovanny Gallegos recorded the save, his 1st. 'I had a little blister on my
index finger before the game, but I thought it was nothing.' Kaprielian said.
'I was lucky I got a win because I couldn't put the ball where I wanted it.'
