Joey Meneses hit a homerun and had 2 RBI at Aarlington Field where the Dublin
Pubcrawlers beat the Aarlington Aardvarks 6 to 4.
Dublin set the tone of the game in the first inning scoring 3 runs using 5
hits. Brandon Nimmo opened up the inning nicely when he ripped a base-knock.
Nick Gordon stepped up next and he doubled. Meneses then lined a base-hit
resulting in a run. After an out was recorded, Carlos Correa came up and he
delivered a single scoring another run. Jorge Polanco came up to bat and hit
a deep fly scoring the final run of the inning. Aarlington went down without
a fight in the bottom of the 9th.
Shane Bieber(1-0) got the win allowing 3 runs in 6 innings. Bieber got help
from Seranthony Dominguez who earned his 1st save. Cristian Javier(0-1)
absorbed the loss.
'I struggled a bit out there tonight,' Bieber said, 'but I toughed it out and
we got the win.'
