Trevor Rogers whiffed 10 batters at Busch Stadium where the Tampico Stogies
beat the Gotham Gold Gloves 3 to 1.
Rogers(9-6) gave a fine effort for Tampico. He went 7 innings allowing 6 hits
and 1 walk. Tampico managed 7 hits in their victory.
Rogers got help from Alex Reyes who was credited with his 38th save. Garrett
Richards(7-8) was tagged with the loss. When asked about his strikeout total
for the game, Rogers offered, 'The fan's really got into it. It is fun to
see them tally up the strikeout totals up there in the stands. Fortunately,
I kept them busy tonight - of course, it would be all for naught without the
'W'.'
