Center fielder Leury Garcia cracked 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI as the Tampico
Stogies defeated the woeful Streator Reds by the score of 8 to 2 at Streator
Park.
Garcia enjoyed a big evening at the plate. He smashed a solo-shot out of the
park in the 3rd inning and bombed a two-run dinger in the 9th inning.
Tampico had 11 hits for the night while Streator had 6.
The victory went to Trevor Rogers(8-6) who went 6 and 1/3 innings, allowing 2
runs. Yu Darvish(9-11) absorbed the loss. He pitched 6 innings allowing 8
hits and 1 walk.
