Eric Hosmer hit 2 doubles and had 3 RBI as the streaking Dyersville Jurassics
defeated the slumping Oakland Athletics by a score of 10 to 5 at Jurassic
Park.
Dyersville went ahead for good in the 4th inning plating an isolated run on 2
base hits. The Dyersville offense was great, scoring in 7 of the 9 innings.
The win was credited to Aaron Nola(8-8) who went 5 and 2/3 innings allowing 2
runs. Adrian Houser earned the save, his 3rd. Dylan Cease(8-11) was the
losing pitcher. He was unable to control the Dyersville offense and allowed
9 hits and 2 walks in 4 and 1/3 innings.
The Dyersville ballclub's record now stands at a division leading 88-62.
Still in a bad slump, with this loss, Oakland is 2-8 lately and 56-94, worst
in the division on the year.
