Jose Urquidy carried a no-hitter into the 6th inning as the Tampico Stogies
defeated the Chicago Colts 4 to 1 at Busch Stadium.
Urquidy(7-8) looked very much in control throughout the night. He didn't
allow much, just 1 hit and 1 walk in 6 innings reducing his ERA from 5.20 to
4.99. The right-handed Urquidy lost his chance for a no-hitter when Yoan
Moncada homered with one out in the 6th inning. Overall Tampico out-hit
Chicago 13 to 2.
Urquidy was helped out by Alex Reyes who recorded his 36th save. Ryan
Yarbrough(7-8) suffered the loss in relief. He was unable to control the
Tampico offense and allowed 9 hits and 2 walks in 4 innings.
