Garrett Cooper had 2 base hits at The Heffadrome where the strong Holland
Heffalumps beat the Dublin Pubcrawlers 2 to 1.
Holland scored 2 runs in the decisive bottom of the 6th inning when they came
up with 3 base hits. The big moment was provided by Matt Olson who made the
home-town crowd a happy bunch when he blasted a two-run home run. Dublin
tried unsuccessfully to come back in the 9th.
Clay Holmes(8-3) got credit for the victory, pitching 1 and 1/3 innings and
allowing no runs. Tyler Rogers was credited with his 11th save. Madison
Bumgarner(5-4) was the losing pitcher.
No one has been able to stop Holland lately as they lengthened their winning
streak to 6 games. 'It seems we can't lose these days', Steve Seydell
volunteered after the game. Then after a moment to reflect he lamented, 'Oh
great! Now I've gone and jinxed us!'
