Max Muncy smashed 3 homeruns and had 7 RBI as the smoking-hot Burbank Tigers
bested the Caracas Leones 10 to 9 at Leones Field.
Muncy was unconscious out there. While Caracas pitching was serving softballs
up there for him to hit, the Caracas fans were serving up some hardball barbs
when he entered the batter's box. But he just used it as fuel for the fire.
He clubbed a two-run home run in the 1st inning, belted a three-run homer in
the 2nd inning and popped a two-run clout over the fence in the 4th inning.
Burbank had 14 hits overall, while Caracas had 10.
Adam Wainwright(14-2) picked up the victory, allowing 6 runs in 6 innings.
Wainwright was helped out by Josh Hader who recorded his 28th save. The loss
was charged to Carlos Rodon(5-5). He served up 3 gopher balls in 1 and 1/3
innings.
No one has been able to stop Burbank lately as they lengthened their winning
streak to 7 games.
