Frankie Montas had an impressive outing and first baseman Pete Alonso cracked
a homer and had 4 RBI as the Hollywood Marines outscored the Gotham Gold
Gloves 7 to 2.
Hollywood took the lead for good in the bottom of the 5th inning as they
scored 3 runs on 4 base hits. The big moment was provided by Alonso who made
the Hollywood fans a happy lot when he smacked a three-run homer. Hollywood
ended up with 14 hits for the game while Gotham had 3.
Montas(8-6) got credit for the victory, pitching 7 innings and allowing 2
runs. Josh Fleming(0-10) was the loser. He allowed 8 hits and no walks in 4
and 2/3 innings.
The Hollywood ballclub's record now stands at 47-49. Gotham has a record of
