Palatine Cubs won a dramatic crowd-pleaser over Holland Heffalumps at Rogers
Centre pulling it out in their last at bats, 7 to 6.
Palatine scored the deciding run in the bottom of the 9th inning. Isiah
Kiner-Falefa drew a walk. After an out was recorded, Manuel Margot stepped
up to the plate and he drew a walk. Kris Bryant then lined a base-hit making
Palatine the winners and sending the 19,040 fans home happy. Palatine had a
total of 9 hits for the game.
The win went to Hector Neris(3-4) who allowed 1 run in 2/3 of an inning. Jose
Alvarez(8-3) suffered the loss in relief. Palatine now has a record of
44-49. With the loss, the Holland ballclub's record is 60-33.
