1,107 fans were treated to a fine game at Edsel Stadium as only one run
separated the combatants at game's end. The Chicago Colts won by the
slimmest of margins, 4 to 3.
Dominic Leone(1-1) looked good in relief and was the winning pitcher. He
surrendered only 1 hit and 1 walk in 2 and 1/3 innings reducing his ERA from
4.50 to 3.86. Gotham threatened in the 9th but their rally came up short.
Dylan Floro was credited with his 7th save. Garrett Richards(4-5) took the
loss in relief. Rich Domovic was beaming after the game, 'Not only were we
making good contact, but a lot of balls we hit seemed to have 'eyes'! I just
love winning these tight ones! It was just our evening - no doubt about it!'
