Tylor Megill reeled off a total of 10 strikeouts and Freddy Galvis smacked 2
homeruns and had 4 RBI at Busch Stadium where the Aarlington Aardvarks beat
the Tampico Stogies by the score of 7 to 3.
Galvis provided the offensive punch. He laced a one-base hit in the 2nd
inning, popped a two-run clout over the fence in the 4th inning and cleared
the fences for a two-run home run in the 5th inning. Aarlington out-hit
Tampico for the game, 11 hits to 5.
The win was credited to Megill(3-1) who went 6 innings allowing 2 runs.
Cristian Javier preserved the game for Megill, recording his his 8th save.
Elieser Hernandez(0-1) was hit with the loss. He allowed 3 homeruns in 5 and
1/3 innings of work.
Megill was humble when questioned about his performance, 'Well, I felt pretty
confident in my pitches tonight. But, I had great support behind me and I
just threw what was called. That was an extremely well called game!'
