Shortstop Trea Turner knocked 2 homeruns and Lance McCullers mowed down 11
Tampico batters as the Burbank Tigers topped the Tampico Stogies by a score
of 4 to 2 at Camden Yards.
McCullers(5-5) gave a fine effort for Burbank. He went 6 innings allowing 3
hits and 5 walks. Burbank finished with just 5 hits in the victory.
McCullers got relief help from Josh Hader who gained credit for his 17th save.
Cole Sulser(3-5) took the loss in relief.
Everyone seemed to enjoy the performance of McCullers - except Tampico. Mike
Aldrich lamented, 'He just was 'on' tonight. He was keeping our guys off
balance all game. A fine game by a good strikeout pitcher - makes it a fun
game for the hometown fans - unfortunately we were the visitors!'
