defeated the Woodfield Roadkyll by a score of 9 to 3 at Leones
Field.
Woodfield found themselves trailing quickly as the Caracas bats came through
in the first inning when they came up with 3 runs on 5 hits. The key at-bat
was by Xander Bogaerts who made the home-town crowd a happy bunch when he
doubled bringing in two baserunners. Caracas finished with 12 hits while
Woodfield ended up with 7.
Carlos Rodon(4-2) went 5 and 1/3 innings allowing 3 runs for the win. Julio
Urias(7-2) was given the loss. He got hit pretty hard, allowing 10 hits and
3 walks in 6 innings.
