The Dyersville Jurassics and the Tampico Stogies locked up in an exciting
one-run game at Jurassic Park. The final score was the Dyersville Jurassics
4, the Tampico Stogies 3.
Dyersville came up with 3 runs in the bottom of the 3rd inning with the help
of 5 hits. After an out was recorded, Starling Marte got things going when
he banged out a single. Jake Fraley came next and he slapped a base-hit.
Willy Adames then laced a single. Teoscar Hernandez was up next and he
belted a three-run homer. Tampico had a chance in the 9th but they came up
short.
The winning pitcher was Charlie Morton(6-2) who allowed 1 run in 7 innings.
Andrew Kittredge recorded the save, his 11th. Eli Morgan(4-3) was hit with
the loss.
Jim Aldrich was in a talkative mood in the clubhouse, 'Great game! If only we
could win all of the close ones - wouldn't that be nice! Since that's not
going to happen, I think I'll savor this one for a little while.'
