Cristian Pache connected with a 'big fly' and had 2 RBI at Aarlington Field as
the Aarlington Aardvarks beat the Holland Heffalumps in 10 innings 8 to
7.
The game was deadlocked at 7 after nine full innings. Aarlington won it in
the 10th inning. After an out was recorded, Brian Goodwin drew a walk. Omar
Narvaez stepped up next and he drew a walk to load the bases. Clay Holmes
then threw a wild pitch making Aarlington the victors to the delight of the
home town faithful. A wild and woolly affair, this game saw the lead change
5 times.
Michael Kopech(3-1) was the winner allowing no runs in 1 and 1/3 innings.
Holmes(4-3) suffered the loss in relief. 'Ahhh, how sweet it is,' Steve
Linke sighed. 'That win feels like a tall, cool drink of water after
spending far too much time in the desert lately.'
