Framber Valdez pitched 5 strong innings as the Gotham Gold Gloves bested the
Burbank Tigers 1 to 0 at Camden Yards.
Valdez(2-2) put on a good performance. He allowed only 1 hit and 1 walk in 5
innings. Valdez struckout 7 Burbank batters improving his ERA from 4.58 to
4.19. Valdez was helped out by Lou Trivino who pitched a perfect ninth and
recorded his 4th save.
Zack Wheeler(4-4) was given the loss. He surrendered 1 run and 5 hits in 7
innings. For Gotham the victory was a welcome one, indeed. They had been
struggling in their last ten games with a disappointing 2-8 record. With the
loss, Burbank has a record of 6-4 lately, 24-21 overall.
