Shortstop Trea Turner blasted 2 homeruns and had 5 RBI and Walker Buehler went
7 solid innings as the Burbank Tigers crushed the Gotham Gold Gloves 13 to
1.
Turner enjoyed a great evening at the plate. Every time he came up in the
latter innings, the crowd was on their feet cheering. He doubled in the 2nd
inning, banged out a single in the 3rd inning, blasted a two-run home run in
the 6th inning and clubbed a three-run home run in the 8th inning. Burbank
simply wore out the Gotham pitching staff, scoring in 6 different innings.
Buehler(6-2) went 7 innings allowing 1 run for the win. Eduardo Rodriguez(2-5)
was given the loss. He was unable to control the Burbank offense and allowed
7 hits and 4 walks in 4 innings.
'Some days it just all comes together, and this was one of them' Turner said.
'I've been seeing the ball pretty well lately.'
