In a two run game the Vernon Hillbillies got by the reeling Gotham Gold Gloves
by the score of 4 to 2.
Gotham was unable to claim the lead after Vernon went ahead in the top of the
4th inning scoring 2 runners on 2 hits. The biggest moment was provided by
Sam Hilliard who deflated the mood of the partisan fans when he cracked a
two-run shot. Gotham was retired without difficulty in the bottom of the
9th.
Freddy Peralta(4-1) picked up the victory, allowing 2 runs in 7 innings. Lucas
Sims got the save, his 1st. Eduardo Rodriguez(2-4) absorbed the loss.
