A.J. Pollock homered and had 3 RBI as the Burbank Tigers bested the Dyersville
Jurassics 7 to 6 at Camden Yards.
Burbank tallied 5 runs in the bottom of the 2nd inning with the help of 6
hits. The crucial at-bat was provided by Michael Conforto who brought the
crowd to their feet when he doubled scoring two baserunners. Dyersville made
it exciting in the 9th, but they were unable to push the needed runs across.
The winning pitcher was Adam Wainwright(5-1) who allowed 5 runs in 6 and 1/3
innings. Wainwright got help from Josh Hader who was credited with his 5th
save. Aaron Nola(1-2) was charged with the loss. He pitched 1 and 2/3
innings and surrendered 7 hits and 2 walks.
'This was a tough loss,' said Jim Aldrich, 'the kind that sticks with you for
awhile.'
