Brett Phillips had 2 base hits at RingCentral Coliseum where the Oakland
Athletics beat the Streator Reds by the score of 4 to 2.
Oakland jumped on top to stay in the 2nd inning when they scored 2 runs on 3
hits. Streator tried unsuccessfully to come back in the 9th.
Kyle Gibson(2-2) allowed 1 run in 6 innings, and picked up the victory. Yimi
Garcia recorded his 2nd save. Yu Darvish(1-1) was hit with the loss.
Ralph Madara was reflective after the loss, 'We should have won this one, we
just made one too many mistakes. Son-of-a-gun, that added a couple more
white hairs on this noggin of mine.'
