Third baseman Austin Riley blasted 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI as the Hollywood
Marines beat the Gotham Gold Gloves by a score of 6 to 2.
Riley led the offense for Hollywood. He doubled in the 1st inning, ripped a
solo home run in the 6th inning and launched a three-run homer in the 7th
inning. Hollywood had 11 hits for the game and Gotham had 6.
The win went to Genesis Cabrera(1-0) who allowed no runs in 1 and 1/3 innings.
Josh Fleming(0-1) was given the loss in relief. He surrendered 2 hits and no
walks in 2/3 of an inning.
'I've spent a lot of time in the cage and made some adjustments and they've
paid off,' Riley said. 'I just take the same approach up there. I don't
overanalyze it. I go up there, see the ball and try to put a good swing on
it.'
